Cody Hooks was born and raised in Princeton, Kentucky, and is the proud son of Danny and Lisa Hooks. A graduate of Caldwell County High School, where he was valedictorian of the Class of 2010. Cody went on to earn his bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky in 2014. He later received his Juris Doctor from the Chase College of Law in 2018.
That same year, Cody began his legal career with the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy at the Princeton Trial Office, where he gained extensive courtroom experience. Over the course of his career, he has completed numerous jury trials involving felony, misdemeanor, and civil matters, as well as represented clients in various administrative hearings before the Kentucky High School Athletic Association, the Kentucky Department of Transportation, and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. Cody was admitted to the Kentucky Bar Association in 2019.
Cody is an active member of his community. He has served as both president and vice president of the 56th Judicial Bar Association and is currently the Lyon County Law Librarian Chair.
Beyond his legal career, Cody devotes time to coaching basketball for Caldwell County Middle and High School, and he is a proud member of Southside Baptist Church and the Princeton Golf and Country Club. He also supports local charities and community initiatives through philanthropic efforts.
Outside of his professional and community commitments, Cody enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, as well as hunting, basketball, golf, and traveling.
