Early Life and Education

Houston Harvey's roots were planted in the small city of Benton, found within deep Western Kentucky. After graduating from Marshall County High School in 2017, Houston secured his Bachelor's degree at the University of Kentucky in 2021. Upon graduation, he successfully earned his Juris Doctor from Chase College of Law in 2024.

Professional Experience

Houston was admitted to the Kentucky Bar Association in 2024. In his first year of practice, Houston chose to jump headfirst into the courtroom with the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy in the Murray Trial office. Throughout his first year, Houston was tasked with handling the vast majority of Marshall County's criminal dockets - something not typical for recent graduates. This allowed him to gain a wealth of knowledge in regard to felony, misdemeanor, and traffic offenses of all kinds by zealously advocating for his clients. Houston joined Hooks Law Firm, PLLC in January of 2026.

Houston is an active member of the legal community in western Kentucky, most notably in Marshall County. He has spent countless hours advocating for individuals inside the courtroom, both adult and children, who need it most.

Personal Interests

Outside the courtroom, Houston enjoys anything sports – especially when it involves the Kentucky Wildcats. When available, he enjoys volunteering with Special Olympics. Houston is an active member of his local church and has a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. It brings him tremendous joy to help bring others to know Him.
