Our Firm's Foundation
Hooks Law Firm, PLLC was established in 2022 by Cody Hooks, a Princeton, Kentucky native with deep roots in the community. The firm has evolved from a single attorney practice to a comprehensive legal services provider, now featuring the dynamic partnership of Cody and Katelynn Hooks, who joined forces in May 2023.
Based in Eddyville, Kentucky, our firm combines local expertise with diverse professional backgrounds. Cody's extensive courtroom experience from the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy, combined with Katelynn's specialized family law practice in Christian County, creates a powerful legal team dedicated to serving Western Kentucky communities.

Cody Hooks
Founding Partner & Lead Attorney
Criminal Defense • Civil Litigation • Administrative Law
Education: Valedictorian of Caldwell County High School Class of 2010, Bachelor's degree from University of Kentucky (2014), Juris Doctor from Chase College of Law (2018).
Experience: Began legal career with Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy at Princeton Trial Office, gaining extensive courtroom experience. Completed numerous jury trials involving felony, misdemeanor, and civil matters. Admitted to Kentucky Bar Association in 2019.
Community Leadership: Served as president and vice president of the 56th Judicial Bar Association, currently Lyon County Law Librarian Chair. Coaches basketball for Caldwell County Middle and High School, member of Southside Baptist Church and Princeton Golf and Country Club.
Personal: Enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs, hunting, basketball, golf, and traveling.
Katelynn Hooks
Partner & Family Law Attorney

Education: Hails from Springfield, Ohio. Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wright State University, Juris Doctorate from Northern Kentucky Chase Law (August 2019).
Experience: Admitted to Kentucky Bar in 2020, relocated to Western Kentucky. Practiced exclusively in Christian County from April 2022 until joining Cody in May 2023. Now serves as family law attorney with a passion for justice and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable individuals.
Specialization: Brings diverse range of experiences and unwavering commitment to justice, making a positive impact through her legal practice with particular focus on family law matters.
Personal: Enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes, and trying new food establishments.
Houston Harvey
Attorney at Law

Education: Graduated from Marshall County High School in 2017, Bachelor's degree from University of Kentucky (2021), Juris Doctor from Chase College of Law (2024) - Merit Scholar Recipient.
Experience: Admitted to Kentucky Bar Association in 2024. Began legal career with Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy in the Murray Trial office, handling the vast majority of Marshall County's criminal dockets in his first year. Gained extensive knowledge in felony, misdemeanor, and traffic offenses. Joined Hooks Law Firm, PLLC in January 2026.
Practice Areas: Criminal Defense, Wills/Estate Planning, DUI/Traffic Defense, Civil Litigation, and Property (Deeds/Transactions). Active member of the legal community in western Kentucky, particularly in Marshall County.
Personal: Enjoys sports, especially the Kentucky Wildcats, volunteering with Special Olympics, and is an active member of his local church with a strong relationship with Jesus Christ.
